Product Review: Bleach

Hello lovelies,

I have been wanting my hair to be a lighter blonde for a little while now and it was root touch up time so I decided to try a new product.
L'Oreal Feria
Extra Bleach Blonding
Intense 1 step Lightening System colour 205

If you have dark brown - black hair I would not use this product, go to Sally's and buy each product needed separately.

The box came with two packages of lightening powder, 20V creme developer, one bottle of shimmering oil and conditioner to rinse everything out.

Because the box only came with a 20V I had to use my own 30V knowing that the 20V wouldn't work.

I mixed the two bleach packages with the creme developer and added the whole bottle of the oil and mixed everything together. Because my roots were dark I started to apply the bleach to my roots first and left it for 40 min and then applied to the rest of my head for 30min, with a total of 70min. I waited until my hair was a pale yellow without leaving it on for too long.

After bleaching I toned my hair with wella colorcharm T18 and it got rid of most of the yellow tones. Now once a week I am using my purple shampoo to gradually lighten my colour more to a lighter platinum colour. I am currently using Light Blue Shade purple shampoo from my drugstore, but have run out and I am going to start using Clairol Shimmer lights.
(pictures were taken before using purple shampoo, so my hair looks more platinum now than in these pictures)

Overall a good product if your hair is a dark blonde to light/medium brown because the 20V wont lift your hair enough if it is a darker colour.
For my next root touch up instead of using this product I am just going to buy bleach and more developer and use that instead, because its much cheaper in the long run.

I hope you all enjoyed this review and that it was helpful for anyone trying to lighten their blonde hair or to go blonde.

casual with a boho feel

Hello lovelies,

How was/is everyone's weekend???

Last night we went to see The Bourne Legacy and both my boyfriend and I are huge fans of The Bourne Trilogy having all three on blu-ray. The Bourne Legacy not really following Bourne, but still following the "program" introduced a new character and they did a pretty good job adding him into the plot I must say. The plot itself was good and throughout the movie there were action scenes that really grabbed your attention. They especially grab your attention in a chase towards the end and then the chase just stops (I wont give away everything) and the movie is over. So good movie over all, but they could've put more thought into the ending.

Today is just a casual day for me where I don't really feeling dressing up too much. Sundays after church are always chore days so I want to make sure I am comfy all day. Here is my look:

Top: urban behaviour
jeans: silver

Garnier BB cream Review

Hello lovelies!!!

BB cream has been all the rage and especially now in North America with all of the beauty brands coming out with their own versions. For the past couple of weeks I did some extensive research in YouTube watching different guru's videos on their reviews of the different brands out there. Garnier and L'Oreal both had the best reviews and I really thought about getting the L'Oreal BB cream but when it came down to getting my money's worth I got the Garnier BB cream instead because you get double the amount for only a couple of dollars more. Now to my before and after pictures and myreview!!!!

The BB cream comes with 2fl. oz. and claims to:
Renew
Brighten
Even
Hydrate &
Protect the skin.

I got the shade Light/Medium and it is a little bit too light for me for the summer with my tan but should be good for the winter. So if you are my complexion or even a bit darker than go for the Medium/Deep shade. The texture is smooth and not at all runny. It glides perfectly onto the skin and I saw a difference in my complexion as soon as I put it on....

Fresh face after the shower with nothing on
I have normal skin with no breakouts, no dry areas and no oil, but I do have redness, minor discolouration and dark under eye circles.

BB cream on just the right side(left side of face but right when you look at it in the picture)

BB cream on full face

When first put on it got rid of all of my redness and really minimized my dark circles. It gives a dewy finish but dries matte. When I use this cream I don't need a moisturizer and I don't need as much concealer or foundation as before I started using this BB cream. I do still use my L'Oreal mineral foundation on top and then my concealer(but they are not needed for when I just need to throw something on and run) because I like a bit more coverage.

Overall I love this product and I will definitely be repurchasing it when I run out. I don't recommend to anyone with oily skin because it is very moisturizing, but if you have dry/normal/combination skin than TRY THIS BB CREAM!!!!

I hope you all enjoyed this review and I also hope it helped you if you are looking for a new moisturizer or if you were thinking of trying this product.

Thanks for reading and please fill answer my poll on the top right of the screen and tell me what you want to see more of on my blog (or comment below). I appreciate all of your comments and opinions, they will help to make this blog the best that it can be!!!!

Ombré nails: white and green

Hello lovelies,

So my nail polish started chipping away and needed a big pick me up. Since I have some time off from work (and my nails won't get ruined) this week I thought why not try something new. I really was just going to paint them white and then I saw some ombré nail designs on YouTube. I looked through my nail colours and thought what I have not used in a while GREEN. Here is what I came out with a well as the products I used.

What you need:

Clear/base coat
2 colours in the same family one dark one light
Sponge
Cotton swabs and
nail polish remover

Step1: apply clear/base coat to protect an prime your nails- I used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in 100 invisible

Step2: apply white nail polish - I used NYC 134 French white tip (had to apply like 3 coats because it is so thin)

Step3: paint the bright green onto a small sponge and dab onto nails 1/2 way down

Step4: paint darker shimmery green onto sponge and dab onto the tip of your nail covering any spots left from the brighter green

Step4: before everything dries apply your clear coat to blend and smooth out your ombré design

Step5: remove any excess nail polish on the skin and cuticles with cotton swabs

You are done!!!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, I love my ombré nails!!! Also let me know in the comments if you want to see more posts like this and PLEASE answer my new BLOG POLL on the top right of the page. I really want to start blogging more often again and I have so many ideas but really need your helping putting them all together. Thx!!!
