With all of the time that I have been spending at home the past year, skincare has been of the utmost importance. I have been focusing more on using natural and organic products and dedicating more time to my self-care routine. Having a solid skincare and self-care routine has allowed me time to be more centered, calm and less anxious, plus my skin looks and feels amazing!
I was recently introduced to a new organic skincare brand that is not only female owned but also Canadian, which is not that common to come by, so I was very excited to partner with them and try their products. GlowbyJS47 offers a range of products that can be used on your body, face and hair. All of their products are organic and contain ingredients that you can actually read. Their products are for everyone - men, women and children, which I love as I am also able to use them on my kids who all have sensitive skin.
Here are the products that I have tried from GlowbyJS47 and my favourite benefits of each:
Shea Butter and Olive Oil Moisturizer
The texture of the Shea Butter and Olive Oil Moisturizer is hard as it is cold pressed, however it melts into your skin. I use this as an overall body moisturizer and on the ends of my hair. It has a light smell that is not at all too strong, which is perfect for those who are sensitive to smell. All three of my kids get eczema and when they have flare ups, this is my go-to product. I put it on my kids skin before they go to bed and their skin is clear by morning.
Shea Butter and Lemon Moisturizer
Similar to the above moisturizer, the Shea Butter and Lemon Moisturizer is a cold pressed product. With the addition of lemon, this moisturizer is packed full of vitamin C and it also offers a light exfoliant. I love using this moisturizer of my face after I do any treatments, as the vitamin C helps with cell turnover and provides anti-aging benefits. I also use it on my body where I have stretch marks and it has greatly helped to soften the texture of my skin and aid it the reduced appearance of some of my street hair marks.
Carrot Oil Face Serum
The Carrot Oil Serum is by far one of my favourites. During the winter months I have had some hormonal breakouts and this face serum combined with the Lemon Moisturizer, have both drastically helped to clear up my skin. Carrot oil has antibacterial, antifungal and and anti-inflammatory benefits that directly help to heal and prevent acne. The serum is not too thick and has a light smell to it. A little goes a long with this product.
Balanite Oil Face Serum
The Balanite Oil Face Serum helps to soften textured skin, while also providing intense moisture, as it is extremely absorbable, allowing into to penetrate into the dream levels of the skin. This oil contains linolic acid and oldie acid, as well as a natural steroid diosgenin which helps heal acne and acne scarring, which is also something that I was dealing heavily with during the winter months.
Organic skincare products are usually offered at a much higher price range, but this entire line from GlowbyJS47 is incredibly affordable. All of their skincare products are under $30 and the amount of product that you get, especially with the Shea Butter Moisturizers is incredible. I cannot rave about their products enough. The fact that their products are clean, organic and safe to use on my kids is a huge plus. The effectiveness of their products and how quickly they have changed the appearance of my skin is another bonus. With some other product lines, you have to commit to only using their brand for 3+ months until you see a noticeable difference and that is not the case with the GlowbyJS47 product line. I noticed a difference in both the appearance and texture of my skin within DAYS of using their products. I also still continue to use some of my favourite products from other brands (toners, treatments, eye creams etc..) and it has not disrupted their effectiveness in any way.
