Too Faced - Glamour to go palette; Review

Hello lovelies,

I recently got the Too Faced glamour to go palette and I have used it quite a bit and I really like it a lot, so I thought I would show you all some swatches and let you know why I love it so much!!

First off the packaging is adorable and it is compact so it literally is great for on the go. When you open the palette, there is a mirror and 8 eyeshadow shades. The palette also has a slide out with a blush, bronzer and lip gloss. If you are not a fan of shimmer, than you will not like this palette. All of the shadows but one are shimmery,  as well as the blush and bronzer. I love shimmer and as for the blush and bronzer neither are overly shimmery.

Due to the shades all (but one) being shimmery, you do need a base for some to really show up. I don't mind using a base. My favourite to use with this palette is my Maybelline color tattoo in 05 too cool. It is a white shimmery colour and it goes perfect with these shades. I also love the mix of warm and cool tones, this palette has to offer making it perfect for all skin tones and preferences. With that being said it is also a great day to night palette. You can easily create a daytime look with this palette and darken it up later for a night out.
The lip gloss is pretty sheer, put has enough colour to add on top of a nude or light pink lip.

Overall I really like this palette. For days that I have plans after work, or if I'm in a rush out the door, you better believe that this is the only palette in my makeup bag.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and if you have or have tried this palette leave your thouhhts below!!

*Over the next month and a half I wont be able to do many detailed posts, as I am finally having my wrist surgery next week and it will be difficult to type with a cast. I promise to try and get out as many posts as I can, but they will be very visual to say the least. I also have a couple more makeup reviews to post in the next few days featuring essence and elf!!*

Have an awesome night lovelies!!

Favourite Self Tanner - SMH #3

Hello lovelies,

You may have noticed by the title of this post it is my Spring must have #3

Gradual Self Tanner

We all have been hiding under layers through out the Winter months and the sun itself has not been enough to give us any colour, so naturally if you're at all like me you are pasty. Everyone has their holy grail tanning product and I wanted to share with you all my new favourite gradual tanner. I was recently sent the new Jergens Natural Glow collection to review by Jergens and  Vervegirl and I am in love!!!

The collection offers five different moisturizers including one for the face which is amazing as well as a quick drying foam moisturizer. The collection is supposed to give a natural glow without streaks and minus the sunless tanner odour. I did try out all of these products and I am really pleased. They do not streak at all and they are so easy to apply, because they are moisturizers I find you don't need someone to help you. As for smell, the sunless tanner smell is not 100% gone. The odour is not strong though and I think I was the only one who could smell it, because when I asked my boyfriend he couldn't smell anything.

My two favourite items in the collection are the face moisturizer (which has a 20 SPF and it is not too thick so it wont clog your pores) and the Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturizer. The firming moisturizer is great because it helps to tone and firm your skin and who doesn't want to be toned and firm.

The one thing I absolutely love about this collection(other than the prices) is that I noticed a difference in my complexion much quicker than with other products. I shower at night, so when I use any of these products it is always at night after I shower and I can notice a difference when I wake up in the morning and even more so through out the day after the first application.

*Tip when using any self tanner is to make sure you always exfoliate and keep moisturized through out the day. Doing both of these things will ensure that your tan lasts and always looks stunning!!!
Also when looking for a self tanner make sure you find on for your complexion. You don't want something too dark and you also don't want to look orange. That is why I like gradual tanners, because they usually look the most natural in my opinion.

What is your favourite self tanner? Please share below I would love to try out some of your favourites!!!

I wish you all an amazing start to your week and to all of my fellow Canadian's Happy Victoria Day!!!!

April Glossybox Review

Hello lovelies,

This past week has been soOo crazy for me. As some of you may know I work in retail management and I just got transfered to a new store, so all week my new manager and myself and have been getting the store ready to open along with our new team and it is so tiring, but worth it.

None the less here I am with a new post. I just got my April (Canadian) Glossybox a little over a week ago and I am so excited to share this one with you all.

The title of the April Glossybox is "Work that Beauty" and the contents of this box were actually hand picked favourites from Canadian Olympic medalist Tracy Little.  She described the contents of the box to be items that "totally melt her heart".

I thought this months box was so cute, it is the prettiest pink colour. I personally love using my empty glossybox's as makeup storage in my bathroom. What do you do with your empty boxes?

When I first opened the box as always I  see the Glossybox beauty card detailing the items inside. What was different about this months box was that under each item Tracy actually wrote a little note about why she loves each piece, which I thought was an amazing touch.

Now let's get into what products are inside....

1) Jelly Pong Cosmetics Lip Blush
*Full Size*
- a lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour & hydration.
Cost $18.70
I am in love with this product. I haven't tried any other jumbo lip stains, but I don't need to now. This one is pricey but so worth it and I need to find it in stores.

2) Schick Hydro Silk Razor
*Full Size*
- the razor that gives back moisture & leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.
Cost $10.99
If you have read my last post than you should know how excited I am for this product. I love Schick razors, mind you I will still use my intuition razor for now, but this is on the top of my list to use.
(There were also coupons in the box to get more cartridges for the razor, for Canada and the US)

3) Boscia Recharging Night Moisture
*Full Size* (smallest size)
-a concentrated moisturizer that works overnight to repair, strengthen and improve skins elasticty.
Cost 40ml/$44.00
This cream has a thick consistency. I wont use it on my face, but I have been using it for my eyes. I have not seen an immediate difference in my dry under eyes, but it has only been a couple of days and I have really high hopes for this product!

4) Pop Beauty Glitz Blitz Eyeliner
*Full Size*
- this smudge free, glitzy eyeliner has the intensity of a liquid liner but the easy application of a pencil
Cost $15.00
The colour is gorgeous and it applies so smoothly on the skin. It is 100% smudge proof and waterproof,  I stuggled to clean the swatch off my hand. So if you wear this liner, it is guaranteed not to budge.

5) Heartland Fragrances
- Herb infused natural epsom salts, used to soften skin & relieve tired achy muscles.
Cost 300oz/$10.10
I don't have a tub, so unfortuantely I cannot use it to relieve my poor achy muscles from last week, however I did use it to soak my poor swollen feet. The smell is heavenly and relaxing. The epsom salts really softened my feet, but you would have to use it more then once to see/feel real results.

Lastly as an extra there is also a coupon for a 2pack of Silhouette greek yogurt. Free food, who wouldn't love that?

Over all the full worth of this months box is approx. $75, WHAT!!!

I was and am really impressed with this month's box. There is not one item I was not excited to see and use. My favourite is for sure the Jelly Pong lip stain and the razor.
Did you also get a Glossybox for April?  If so what was your favourite item inside?

If you are not sure Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box available in 15 different countries. So don't worry if you're not from North America, you can still sign up. To get your own Glossybox click on the link in the sidebar of my blog.

If you would like to see a product review on anything featured in this month's box, please comment below.

I hope you all enjoyed this post.

Spring Must Have #1 & Review

Hello lovelies,

Spring has officially sprung where I live (if you couldn't already tell from a few of my previous posts), so I thought it would be fitting to share my Spring must haves with you all. Each week I will share a new beauty/clothing item/trend with you and if I have time I will try to post twice a week.

My first must have item for Spring and Summer too (it may seem a bit weird, but we all have, need and use one this time of year) is my razor. Let's face it, being girls and living through Winter with all of our layers, shaving our legs just isn't always very important. I mean I never find myself in a skirt or dress without stockings, unless it is Spring or Summer. With that being said I cannot live without my razor during the warmer months, I love getting to wear cute shorts/skirts and dresses and I want to show off my legs while doing so.

The razor I am currently using and loving is my Schick Intuition razor. I just recently got sent this limited edition pink polka dot razor from Schick and Vervegirl and it is soOo freakin' cute!!!!! (It also comes with the shower holder, a huge plus for me!)

This is the only razor that I'm not afraid of cutting myself while shaving my legs. The cartridges have a skin conditioning solid built around them, that eases around every crevis making it so easy to get around my knees. Can I also say that the cartridges smell AMAZING!!! My favourites are the coconut milk & almond oil and pomegranate, they smell exactly like their scents and all of them leave my legs feeling extremely soft and smooth. Because the Schick Intuition razor has the skin conditioning solid, you don't have to use shave gel, because it lathers when wet. I hate using shave gel, a bunch of them irritate my skin and it also takes up so much time. Another reason why I love this razor, it's perfect for when you're in a rush or for those of you like me who are just lazy and/or have sensitive skin.

Another great thing that I have always loved about Schick razors in general is how long lasting the shave is. I can go at least 4 days minimum before I see any stuble on my legs, unlike others where you can see hair the next day.

What are some of your Spring must haves???
Stay tuned for my next Spring Must Have post!!
