Fall Fashion Wardrobe Staples

Hello lovelies,

If you have been following my blog for a while, than you will know that Fall is my absolute favourite season and time of year. Not only am I a sucker for Pumpkin Spice lattes (call me basic), but I love the cool crisp air and of course Fall fashion! If I could wear scarves, booties and sweaters all year long, while sipping on Pumpkin Spice, I would be an even happier momma then I already am.

Speaking of Fall fashion, becoming a mom has made me focus more on investing in my wardrobe. Instead of spending money on trendy styles that only last for a season, I have started to invest in staples that will last and spending less or not even bothering when it comes to fast fashion items.

Follow below for my mom style tips on pieces worth the investment!
(Giveaway near the end of the post!!!)

A Wool Jacket/Coat

Every woman needs a wool jacket. Stick to a classic colour that you will wear year after year and not get sick of.
Beige/Black/Grey

I have a few wool jackets that I have acquired through out the years. One is a classic belted military style in black, another I call my “Gossip Girl” jacket, as it is plaid and super preppy. The final style is more of a statement jacket, but still classic and goes with everything!

A Leather Jacket

Faux or real, invest in quality. A classic moto style will ensure that your jacket will never go out of style and trust me when I say you will wear it with everything!

I have had mine for roughly 6 years and purchased it from Dynamite. It was not an expensive item however, it has definitely stood the stand of time thus far.

A Suede Bootie

Suede booties go with everything and can be worn with your favourite jeans, as well as with a cute skirt or dress. Just as with a wool jacket, stick to a neutral colour like beige, brown or black.

I purchased mine from Winners almost 8 years ago from the brand Rampage and the suede is still in amazing condition.

A Leather Belt

Belts should never be purchased just with the intent to keep your pants from falling down. A belt provides a clean polished statement to any outfit. Yes, still wear your belt with your favourite jean or trouser, but for the purpose of adding detail rather than for a poor fitted bottom.
A classic leather belt can also be used in place of a tie on a jacket and also to cinch in a loose sweater dress.
I recently purchased mine from Coach.

(same jacket from Vince here)

Faux Fur Vest

I love my faux fur vest, not only does it keep me warm, but it also adds a touch of glam to any outfit I pair it with. I like to wear mine with a loose jogger and my leather jacket It also looks great styled with a bootie and a dress for Fall.

I actually got mine on sale a few years ago from Dynamite and I am really impressed with the quality. It has not shed at all and still looks brand new!

A Classic Timepiece

Ever since becoming a mom I have realized more and more how fast time passes. Being able to manage and maximize my time is essential to my everyday life and ensuring that I am fully present with my kids and husband. Having a beautiful and unique watch that goes with every outfit is a must have for me and my Walnut wood & vintage rose Cassia watch from JORD is just that!
JORD watches are elegantly made with natural woods from around the world and a stunning sapphire domed face. Each piece is carefully designed to last and become an item that you will always cherish.

Maternity Style

Hello Lovelies!

Maintaining my style during pregnancy is something that has always been important to me. During my first pregnancy I was unable to wear maternity clothes and this time around, I wanted to find clothing that fits my growing bump without sacrificing my own fashion sense.

Below are some of my favourite outfits that I have worn through out my pregnancy, with links on where you can find the same or similar items. I hope you enjoy them and find them resourceful if you yourself are pregnant!

Wrap dresses are great for everyday wear from early on in pregnancy and after to use for nursing, so of course I had to show one of them!
Overcoat: Vince

I LOVE wearing high-waisted skirts during pregnancy. This one from Mendocino is a skirt that I have had since before pregnancy, but works perfectly as an over the bump skirt for during.
Top: Gebe (sold out find similar here)
Skirt: Room Service from M for Mendocino (similar)
Shoes: Justfab

H
I have always loved my jeans and especially early on in my pregnancy, I would wear them as much as possible (knowing that they would only fit for so long). This top from Jules & Jim is a soft stretch knit, that I am still able to wear now, while I am huge and it has continued to keep it's shape.
Top: Jules & Jim (similar)
Jeans: Old Navy (similar)
Cardigan: Lole
Shoes: Lole (similar)

When the time came, I went straight for maternity jeans. Having maternity jeans during pregnancy makes you feel like you again. Paige jeans are made with a blend of rayon that make them comfortable and super stretchy and they also sit under the bump, which is my personal preference.
Cardigan: John + Jenn
Jeans: Paige (Maternity)

I love this outfit! When I wear this outfit, I feel fashionable, comfortable and the top has ruching on the sides, so it fits my growing bump perfectly. And, let's talk about this vest! I got this vest from Dynamite last year and I had been waiting forever for Fall to start so I could wear it.
Faux fur vest: Dynamite (similar)
Top: Jules & Jim (similar)
Leggings: Dynamite
Boots: Justfab (similar)

My everyday go to staples even before pregnancy have always been jeans and a boyfriend blazer. Not giving up my style during my pregnancy was what I said was very important to me, so finding the right styles that work with my new shape, was super important to me.
Jeans: J Brand
Sweater: Similar
Blazer: Similar

Transitioning to Fall

Hello lovelies,

The air is getting crisp and that Fall breeze is here to stay. Although the summer heat has not entirely disappeared, I am ready to start rocking some Fall transitional outfits. Below are some of my favourite trends for the season and tips on how I will be switching up my Summer styles to make them work for the current "Pre-Fall" weather.
And, if you aren't yet be sure to follow me on Instagram for sneak peeks of my blogs, as well as regular beauty and fashion posts.

The first look is perfect for when the weather is warmer during the day and it doesn't scream Fall however, throw a cardi on top or a leather jacket and you are set for that Fall breeze.
Floral jeans are a trend that I am LOVING this season and dressing them up with a heel, will take them from day to night.

This next look is one of my favs, because I LOVE cozy sweaters and the touches of pink, make this an easy transitional look for Fall. Adding a classic black suede bootie dresses this look up, making it appropriate for an event.

The last look I created is literally one that you will catch me in almost everyday this Fall. I picked this look because it is cozy and casual and can be dressed up or down, depending on where I am going. A faux fur vest over a cozy knit with combat boots is the ultimate in comfort. Add a floppy hat and oversized bag and this is the perfect city outfit.

Which look is your favourite and which trends can you not wait to rock this Fall???
Comment below and let me know!

Thanks for ready loves!

Flirty Fall Essentials

Hello lovelies!!

My favourite season is here, it's finally Fall!!

Cozy knit sweaters, adorable boots, scarves and hats, all of the reasons I love Fall. And I can't forget my favourite drinks come back at  Starbucks this time of year as well... HELLO pumpkin spice everything...knock on me all you want ha ha!!

On a serious note getting back to Fall fashion, as I mentioned I absolutely cannot live without my knit sweaters and scarves and one thing that we don't always mention is what's under. Underneath my cozy knits to still feel girly and sexy I always go for a cute bra to amp up my look. Lately I have been leaning towards lacey bralettes or cute a cotton sports bra to stay cozy.

My outfit shows off my long tunic style sweater from Lolë, bugurndy infinity scarf (similar style), a strappy cotton sports bra, guess? watch (similar) and my hand made mala bracelets that are now up for sale on my Etsy Shop!

Sexy lingerie always makes a girl feel special whether it be worn on a netflix and chill night or a night home of pampering yourself after a long bath while reading a book with your favourite glass of wine.

Athleisure is a huge trend for 2016 and especially during the Fall season. I love wearing a pair of printed leggings with a cute sports bra, a leather jacket and runners for an afternoon coffee grab!

What about you? And what is your favourite type of bra to wear under your cozy knits?

Stay tuned for more cozy Fall posts coming soon!!!

Berry Fall nails - DIY

Hello lovelies,

I have been searching for the perfect nail colour for fall and just could not find exactly what I wanted, so I made my own and wanted to share with you all how I did it.
I first found a bottle that was on its last breath with hardly any polish left in it. The bottle I started with had a very light tan colour in it, but you don't have to start with the same colour. I do however recommend you use a neautral base or get an empty bottle.

I then mixed all of the colours in the picture above. You don't have to use the same brands, just use whatever you have at home in the same colour.

- 799 Plum night by Revlon

- 426 by wet n' wild (no name); a bright fuscia colour

- 131A by NYC; red

- 260 gold silk by Rimmel

I just eye balled it and kept mixing until I got the right colour. With this combination there is really no way to mess it up. If you want more of a pink berry add more red and fuscia. If you want a deeper berry then add more purple.

I hope you all liked this post and let me know what your fav fall nail polish colour is and also if you try this diy!!!

New Fall boots

Hello lovelies,

Last week I was at the winners downtown in my city and this winners always has the best designer or non designer selection, what ever you're looking for you can find at this winners. The boots I got we're not designer but oh my gosh I love them. I debated back and forth between this and a cute pair of heels, but in light of the Fall season I opted for the boots.

The brand is Rampage and they are a nice light tan suede. They are so comfy and they were only $39.99. I am so excited to wear them like everyday!!!

What is your current fav pair of Fall boots/shoes?

On a side note, I just wanted to apologize for not responding to your comments right away and seeming almost absent at times. The new blogger interface is so slow and keeps crashing on my iPod. I don't go on my actual computer that often and when I do that's when I post and respond to all of your comments.
Thanks to everyone for your continued to support love you all!!!
